    Welcome to Osaka! You will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant at the airport. The assistant will get you in the bus to your hotel.

    Osaka Castle

    OSAKA-NARA-KYOTO     Oct.07 (Fri)

    From the top pf the Osaka castle,enjoy panoramic view of the city of Osaka(2nd largest city in Japan) as if you were feudal load.Osaka is said, "City of food".

    We proceed to Nara Area, visiting the ancient capital of Japan is a must in your tour. You will feel sacred when looking up the huge Buddha statue at Todaiji Temple made in 8th century. Just outside the temple is the Nara Deer Park, where you will be greeted by numerous deer that roam around freely.

    Then if you are a drinker, you would love to visit our next stop…the sake brewery! The guide gives you a little tour inside the brewery followed by tasting at Gekkeikan Sake Museum. Let's enjoy tasting in southern Kyoto.

    You may understand why Kyoto is blessed with and said as "the source of Japanese taradition & culture" like sake, tofu, kimono, tea ceremony etc. due to tremendous amount of underground water.

    As soon as we arrive Kyoto, we will visit Gion where Geisha (kimono clad ladies who work for entertainment at traditional Japanese cuisine restaurants etc.).

    KYOTO    Oct.08 (Sat)

    Please enjoy your stay in ancient capital of Japan (794 - 1868) , the heart of Japanese tradition. You will feel that you have time slipped into the world one thousand year ago.

    We proceed to Kodaiji-Temple to experoence Tea Ceremony. Japanese tea ceremony, called Sado or Cha-no-yu, has more than 400 years of history, the most elevated way to fully enjoy a bowl of tea. Spiritually and physically, we would like you to feel the air as well. It will be unforgettable experience.
    After the ceremony, let's take short walk through beautiful garden and bamboo trail.

    At Nishijin Textile Center, ladies wearing kimonos show you beautiful seasonal design and patterns of kimonos and sashes.

    Kinkakuji (temple) or Golden Pavilion with beautiful garden and pond take you back to the Muromachi Period (1333 - 1537) when Kyoto flourished in its economy and culture.

    We can't miss one place to visit.."Kiyomizu Temple". Kiyomizu temple is known as there is not a single nail used in the entire structure.We will then walk to Sannenzaka.Many souvenir shops and Japanese-style restaurants are located along the road.

    Then we visit Fushimi inari shrine, famous for its thousands of red torii gates. It is known best place of the Japanese sightseeing spot that the foreigner chooses.

    Takayama festival

    KYOTO-SHIRAKAWAGO–TAKAYAMA    Oct.09 (Sun)

    We will depart from Kyoto and drive to Gujohachiman to see water flows that running throughout the town. People in Gujohachiman live with and cherish water in their daily lives.

    Then, we will move to Shirakawago to see traditional thatched roof houses that are designated as World Heritage of UNESCO.
    Village and town among mountains may reminds you of nostalgic feeling. We will stay in Takayama. On this day, "Takayama Festival" will be held and you will see beautiful and elaborate floats. The floats are lit-up by light of paper lantern. Feature in the night is so beautiful and tasteful.

    Takayama festival

    TAKAYAMA-MATSUMOTO-SUWA    Oct.10 (Mon)

    In the morning, we will see procession of floats in Takayama.Elaborate carving work and KARAKURI trick (moving dolls) are amazing. Please see craftsmanship of artisans who contribute to build the floats.

    We will take a walk in the takayama old town and visit Takayama Jinya. The Takayama Jinya served as the local government office, headed by the officials dispatched from Edo. After seeing the festival, we will move to Matsumoto to visit Matsumoto Castle (National Treasure). This castel is one of the very few original castel that were kept intact and never destroyed. Also it's unipue black coloring gave its nickname karasu-jo, the Crow Castel. It's one of three must see castel in Japan and ranked on the top 100 in the world castel.

    Dinner at traditional Japanese house and staying at Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in Suwa will be unforgettable experience. And please enjoy hot spring and sleep on Futon.

    Mt.Fuji

    SUWA-Mt.FUJI-ODAWARA-TOKYO    Oct.11 (Tue)

    In the morning we drive to Mt. Fuji area, the highest mountain in Japan and is considered as sacred mountain.Our first stop is Lake Kawaguchi, weather permitting you can look not only the lake but olso the magnificent view Mt.Fuji, the highest peak in Japan, which has just become No.17 World Heritage Site in Japan. It is has been appreciated by many Japanese for ages because of its perfect conical shape.
    Our journey will continue to Hakone, the weekend getaway from the Tokyo metropolitan area, a nature-rich resort with the beautiful Lake Ashi where we take a cruise. Also, we will take a cable car to see the splendid scenery from an observatory deck, Mt.Fuji, Gulf of Sagami and Lake Ashi...

    On the way to our final destination Tokyo, please enjoy riding on Shinkansen (bullet train) from Odawara to Tokyo.

    Kyoto tea ceremoney

    TOKYO    Oct.12 (Wed)

    If you hear "Tokyo", you may imagine huge metropolis with skylines.
    We will first stop by the Imperial Palace Plaza where is a current Emperor's home. The history of Modern Tokyo will be unlocked by our guide.
    We will visit historical sites such as Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, the Five Storied Pagoda and please enjoy the traditional Nakamise shopping arcade.

    Of course, we will visit newly built tower with high technology Tokyo Sky Tree (about 1,900ft) to go up to the viewing deck to see panoramic view of metropolis Tokyo. Then to Akihabara, the electronic district and the mecca for the anime (Japanese cartoon characters).
