Iwate

It is second largest prefecture and the lowest population density, the capital is Morioka.
The Chuson-ji temple was listed World heritage by UNESCO.
There are many Important cultural properties and National treasures.
The Nambu-Ironware is traditional industry. Matsuo Bashō( the greatest master of haiku) visited and wrote about Iwate in the journey described in Oku no Hosomichi. He was especially inspired by Hiraizumi.
Major industry is farming, fisheries(abalone, seaweed), forestry, livestock industry.
